In the fourth round, Carolina finally got the corner that they so desperately needed. Pride has solid speed that makes it hard for receivers to gain separation on him. Pride is scheme-versatile corner, experienced in zone and press coverage and best suited for man coverage.
He has good foot quickness and solid athleticism. Pride will have a few bumps in the road as he gets acclimated to the NFL, but he has the skills to make some plays as a rookie. With the lack of depth at corner for Carolina, the Panthers will have to rely on Pride to play outside corner.
